Day 1: From Pompadour to Comborn

Let's continue the day by following in the footsteps of one of the most powerful seigneurial families in medieval Limousin: Les Comborn.
About fifteen kilometres from Pompadour, in the commune of Orgnac-Sur-Vézère, lies the Comborn castlethe stronghold of the family of the same name. The building overlooks the Vézère gorges from a rocky outcrop.

During the summer, the owner offers guided tours of this historic site (on reservation).

Stop off in the small village of Orgnac-Sur-Vézère. Push open the doors of the church to discover the contemporary stained glass windows created by Father Kim En Joong.

Get back in the car and head for La Chartreuse de Glandier (follow the signs for Troche). Once there, take the path that runs alongside the canal des chartreux. This shady walk offers a view of one of the region's most remarkable architectural sites: The Glandier Charterhouse. This building was constructed in the early 13th century by Archambaud VI, Viscount of Comborn. 

To round off this first day in style, how about an evening stroll around the racecourse?

On this second day, we head for Lubersac 7 km from Pompadour
with a programme of total immersion and discovery of the built heritage.
Here you can admire a number of architectural treasures, including the façade of the
the Renaissance house or thechurcha veritable jewel of Romanesque art...

During the summer season: "On a mission with Loupbersac" invites you to discover Lubersac through a treasure hunt available with the free Baludik app.

For lunch, we suggest you go directly to the venue of the next activity. Direction JCS KartingThere are also picnic tables and a snack bar.
Once you've had a chance to recharge your batteries, there's something for everyone at the leisure park, with go-karting, paintball and miniature golf to suit all tastes!

The weekend will end with a visit to the Moulin de la Résistance du Pont Lasveyras. The interior of the mill houses an exhibition on one of the tragic moments of the Second World War: the massacre of a group of young STO draft dodgers by a German division.
The interior of the mill is open to visitors on certain afternoons from June to September. Around the site, there is a botanical interpretation trail and a memory trail.
