In season, a host of activities are on offer, including orienteering, mini-golf and a visit to a mini-farm. Also worth a visit is the Tree and Nature Centre A place full of activities, sensory games, workshops, exhibitions and projection rooms. It's a fun and educational place to learn and have fun at the same time!

Let's take the road to TreignacOn the way, you can take a break at the Chalard waterfalls.

Once we arrived in Treignac, an audio tour will enable you to discover the rich heritage and history of the town, with its emblematic buildings.

For more entertaining visits, download the app Terra Aventura and off we go on a treasure hunt, where, miraculously, both parents and children agree!
For the little ones, drop in to the Tourist Office and ask to Treignou to show us around the city.

For the afternoon, we've put together a 100% outdoor programme.

First we head for the Lake Bariousseswhere, in season, you can take advantage of the activities offered by the Vézère Monédières Nature Sports Resort Millesources  or simply relax on the beach. Throughout the year, you can explore the dam and lookout via the Saut du loup" hike

Continue the afternoon a few kilometres further on to the village of Saint-Hilaire-Les-Courbes. Visit Sentier des Merlettes will take you on a tour of a wetland: a characteristic landscape of the Plateau de Millevaches.

Let's end the day with a bit of height! Visit Puy du Mas at an altitude of 727 metres, is the ideal place to enjoy a picnic and take in the exceptional 360° views. It's also the perfect place to watch the sunset.

A great way to be recognised!

In 2022, the Millevaches Regional Nature Park has just been recognised International Dark Sky Reserve (RICE) by the International Dark-Sky Association. This label recognises the exceptional quality of the night sky.

In France, only 4 sites are referenced by RICE and 19 worldwide.

Day 2: discovering the Plateau des Millevaches

This second day will introduce you to the Millevaches en Limousin Natural Park.

Let's start the day with a stop in Bugeat, a village renowned in the world of sport thanks to the Espace 1000 Sources. This site offers all the right conditions for training top-level sportsmen and women in a privileged environmental setting.
In the heart of the village, push open the doors of the leather goods shop Le Cuir d'Emile V...Gina will be delighted to talk to you about her expertise.
Near the sports centre, there is a small lake where you can relax and take a stroll. Children can enjoy the play area.

For lunch, if the sun is out, we suggest a picnic on the banks of the lake. Otherwise, you can try the nearby restaurants.

Let's continue this day by heading for Viam. The church in this small village has contemporary stained glass windows by Geneviève Fourgnaud. Viam is home to the largest lake in the Terres de Corrèze region. An expanse of 189 hectares, bordered by forests that give the place the air of a great Canadian lake. It's also a paradise for anglers.

Let's continue our journey towards Tarnac. This village is typical of the Plateau de Millevaches, with its beautiful granite houses. Once there, we push open the door of the church, a veritable jewel of Romanesque architecture.
In summer, you can enjoy free exhibitions in the "Petites Maisons", behind the church. To take your visit of Tarnac a step further, we suggest a treasure hunt. Terra Aventura. The "Tarnac, a page of history" tour will take you to the Enclose lake. In summer, a range of water sports activities are on offer.
To round off this weekend of immersion on the Millevaches plateau, we invite you to visit the Puy Sénigour  which rises to over 800 metres.
