Auditorium Sophie Dessus: When the Circus Came
Add to my Google CalendarPresentation
Puppets and music - Compagnie Les Involtes.
Quand le Cirque est venu is an adaptation of the story of the same name, written by Wilfrid Lupano and illustrated by Stéphane Fert (Éditions Delcourt - Collection "Les Enfants Gâtés").
There is talk of dictatorship, freedom of expression and censorship. While the people are quivering under the authority of General Poutche, the circus arrives and seems to bring the joy and lightness that everyone has been missing. But as the acts unfold, one drama follows another, and the shadow of "Gueunouf" hangs over everyone's heads. Everyone in the troupe puts their heart and soul into giving the audience what they do best... "The show must go on...", as they say... right up to the final number, where laughter becomes a weapon of massive derision.
Open to all (from age 7) - duration: 1 hour - Family price.
