Benayes

The church of St Maurice is mentioned in 987 in the privilege of Hildegaire, bishop of Limoges, attesting to its age. It has a wall bell tower. The exterior and interior were renovated in 1999.
Just outside the village, in the forest, is the Font-Faure fountain, renowned for its healing properties. Every year on 24 June, a mass is held there, followed by a country-style meal and a dance.
